Floral prints change as quickly as the seasons. For fall and winter the darker the print is preferred. For spring and summer the lighter prints are launched. When I am purchasing floral pieces I tend to gravitate to the prints and color tones that bypass the trends and can stand the test of time. Finding neutral florals will elongate the years you can wear your item. This dress is a great example of the right tone to make it available to wear in all four seasons.
For a fun fall style I chose to wear my longer jean jacket and utility boots. For more inspiration I have paired this dress with a cropped bomber jacket, fitted jean jacket or a long wool coat for the winter.

This dress is at least 10 years old and I love its cut and drape! This evening was the only time I’ve worn it since it came home with me. There is no negative reason why I have not chosen to wear it. It suited many occasions over the years. I just need to have the “feel” to wear an outfit. That is part of the process for me. I don’t like wearing it with heels because of the hem it does not compliment my legs (it’s good to know your body) so I choose to style it with closed toe ankle wedges or and open toe sandal.
I don’t wear this dress enough. Its perfect print can be worn year round.
SPRING: Pair with converse + jean jacket
SUMMER: Wear strap sandals, gladiator sandals, flip-flops (nude, black or lavender for a pop of color), block heels
Wear open as a long bathing suit wrap (TIP* I tie the straps loosely on the inside behind me to keep the material out of my way and so it has the illusion of being a Duster!
Lastly, for a cool night pair with a Biker Jacket (loose cut or fitted)
FALL: Wear with a flat pointed toe Cowboy bootie, Square Toe shoe, Kitten Heel Ankle boot, OTK (Over the Knee) Boot, long Trench coat, long Jean jacket, Leather Biker Jacket
WINTER: tights for protection from the cold paired with Ankle Boots, OTK Boots or wear open styled as a duster with jeans and a graphic or white tee!
An easy fall outfit is a sweater dress. Pair it with OTK Boots or Slouch Knee Boots with a heel or without. When wearing a black dress your OTK boots could be the color olive, black, cognac, suede or leather. In the winter months I just add tights or hose pending on the windchill.
