I dread shopping as I find it challenging with my body shape. Kim(@dress_for_you_styling) was a HUGE help and I honestly can't say enough positive things, between her talking me off of a ledge when things didn't fit and giving us styling tips, I actually enjoyed the experience...so much that I cried, happy tears/tears of relief at the end of it. I was thrilled that we were able to find pieces that worked. I know I'm not the only one who finds shopping stressful, which is why I HIGHLY recommend that you reach out to Kim.

I have always wanted to have someone dress me. I have a ton of clothes but am clueless about how to put them together so I just get overwhelmed and wear my usual outfits.
I always see people in cute outfits and think "I would have never thought to put that together" or "I wish I could pull that look off". I came across Kim at Dress For You Styling on Instagram and was instantly drawn to her. Your vibe attracts your tribe and she was definitely my vibe. I decided to treat myself and book the Lennon package and go shopping! I didn't regret it. After a quick chat with Kim on the phone about my style, she had me all figured out already. I met Kim and I felt like I had known her forever. We went shopping and I got a ton of great staples and outfits that I can mix and match. She also sent me an email with a HUGE list of outfits I could make out of what I purchased. Next, I will be booking her to go through my closet with me and work with what I own. After having my first styling session with Kim, I can safely say that she is the missing link in my closet.
Having gone through a substantial weight gain, I found it challenging and frustrating to find pieces that worked with my new bod. I often tried to dress for the figure I HAD instead of finding pieces that make me feel confident in the body I currently HAVE. I was a wee bit skeptical heading into the appointment (even though I was excited) because even with pre-weight gain I rarely felt excited about clothes. Clothes were just something I had to put on so I didn't scare the neighborhood children - never something I looked forward to planning or experimenting with. Kim was thorough - she did her research beforehand, ensuring she understood what was important to me, what styles I'm drawn to, measurements, etc. When I arrived at Bee & Key Boutique, she had a rack full of looks ready for me to try on - laying them out in the changeroom, helping me with zippers, boots, and coats. She showed me how to wear pieces in multiple different ways - teaching me tricks on how to tuck, roll, and layer to ensure that my best features are highlighted. She was kind, encouraging, and detailed (I have two pages of notes that she did while I was changing so I don't forget any of her tips) and most importantly - EMPOWERING. For the first time in years, I felt like my outside self matched my inside self. For the first time in years, I was excited to get dressed this morning - and I'm already planning the outfit I'll be wearing tomorrow. For the first time in years, I had fun trying on clothes (I literally was dancing at points in the evening!)
It was hands down one of the most worthwhile investments I've made, and was worth every.single.penny. There's no going back, and I'm so grateful that I now have some of her vast expertise in my tool belt. I'm already looking forward to my next session with her!
