WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO BUY BLUNDSTONE BOOTS
SHOPPING TIPS FOR YOU!
1. Length is primary consideration when fitting Blundstone boots. Walk around in the boots and get a sense of whether your front most toe is touching the front of the boots. If they are consistently touching the front of the boots, then the boots are too small.
2. Blundstone boots are made to fit snug around your ankle so it can be tight to pull on the first time. My experience was tight getting on and off for a couple of weeks! Know that over time, the boot will relax and stretch slightly over the instep, but never lengthwise.
3. You can purchase them in various colours now & they have a round OR square toe. Online the square toe style is referred to as the Dress Shoe.
4. Blundstone Boots have reinforced toes to keep the shape of the shoe intact! They will last FOREVA’!
5. They will not stretch in length!
6. The blue tag means they are waterproof. NOTE: The dress shoe (my favourite bc of square toe is not sold in waterproof version)
7. They are UNISEX, with the exception of the Women’s heeled boots.
8. SIZE Guide TIPS:
A. Blundstone boots and shoes are marked with Australian sizing. Blundstone ½ size will affect the width more than the length.
B. Their website suggests you… Try on different styles and sizes, try them on both feet, and try to shop in the afternoon when your feet may be slightly swollen - this helps avoid buying boots that are too small. And, be sure to walk around.
C. FOR SPECIFIC SIZING check out their website!!
Styling TIPS:
1. As seen here you can wear them outside of your casual looks.
2. I like to wear mine with my leggings in the winter to replace my sneakers while walking in the snow.
3. Pair with slouched wool socks peeking above the top of your boot with leggings or skinny jeans tucked in your socks.
4. Wear your long oversized boyfriend jackets with them.
5. In the summer they are so cute paired with your plaid button-top and short jean shorts.
6. When you don’t have bulky socks on— don’t let your socks be seen!
7. Don’t wear with your wide-leg OR, boot-cut pants… looks masculine and unflattering.
8. Peek-a-boo your ankle for a chic look— it just looks so put together! BUT, don’t have your pants folded up in a large cuff.. make sure it’s small. If you need to hem your pants to accomplish this look!
